　　4) No pains , no gains. ( If one doesn’t take pain , one can’tgain anything. ———对应汉语条件属性) 。

　　5) What a consternation of soul was mine that dreary afternoon ! ( not only feeling dull , but also feeling disheartened. ———词汇隐括,对应汉语的递进关系) 。

　　6) Easier said than done. ( It is easier to say than todo. ———对应汉语比较属性) 。

　　由此可见,英汉语隐括表达属性能简化语句结构和层次,还成为彼此转换的基础。

　　笔者相信,英汉隐括结构及信息的研究将在翻译学研究领域(汉语文言文与白话文对译,文言文与英语对译以及现代英语对古英语隐括语用的诠释) 产生积极的作用。
